YALLFest 2014!!

So this past weekend, I woke up at 4 am and made the two hour journey from my hometown to Charleston, SC for YALLFest!!! And it was an absolute blast!

So, the day began with the Opening Keynote Speech presented by Random House. This is where James Dashner and Sara Zarr gave us a hilariously entertaining conversation about previous jobs, the writing process, their friendship, braces, and the movie experience.

After the Keynote, it was 11 am and time for the author signings to begin. AND I GOT TO MEET MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE AUTHOR: Jennifer L. Armentrout

I also got to meet/get my books signed by Scott Westerfeld, Marie Lu, Laini Taylor, Gayle Forman, Stephanie Perkins, Alexandra Bracken, Libba Bray, Danielle Paige, Jennifer E. Smith, and Sarah J. Maas!!

After the signings, it was time to go to the Closing Keynote Speech presented by Penguin Teen and featuring a lovely conversation with Sarah Dessena and Ally Condie where they discussed how they come up with ideas, meeting and fangirling over Kristen Bell, and their favorite social medias.

Last, but certainly not least, came the YA Smackdown presented by Epic Reads and featuring the infamous Tiger Beat!!

All in all, it was a fantastic day!! I got to meet some lovely people while waiting in the never-ending lines and they were all so friendly!

I've also got to give a special shout-out to my Daddy, who was kind enough to come with me to help get all the books I wanted signed!  <3
